1924 Martin 0-42 Acoustic Guitar - Natural

Beautiful, mid-1920s example of the highly desirable Martin 0-42. The old growth woods and materials used to construct these guitars were the finest Martin had to offer at the time. This, coupled with early era hand manufacturing, give each one of these guitars unique character, tone and beauty. This example, one of only 39 produced in 1924, carries a big voice and has amazing projection. This little box can fill a room! The tone of this instrument is truly something to behold. 

Like many older Martins, there have a few things addressed over the years. There are some tops cracks that have been repaired & cleated, a reproduction pyramid bridge and newer maple bridge plate have been installed, the inner soundhole has been restored and newer reproduction machines have been installed. Finish appears to the original French polish lacquer ( Martin didn't start using nitrocellulose until 1926 ) with the exception of the areas where the cracks/repairs were addressed. There is a very much stable headstock crack that was professionally repaired at some point many years ago as well. This guitar will truly make an amazing addition to any collection.
